Waist trainer/corset after a c-section

Anonymous
My friend wore a waist trainer/corset after a c-section and has a flat stomach. She was overweight pre-pregnancy but became thin post partum. I didn't do use a waist trainer after my c-section because I was afraid it would mess up my scar or organs if I had something so tight on my waist. I barely even used a belly binder. I figured that since I was a size 4 pre-pregnancy I didn't need to worry about it. But even though I went back to my pre-pregnancy weight pretty quickly, my stomach still isn't flat like it used to be. It's not flabby, but I'm apple shaped. I'm a size 6 or 8 in pants because of my waist now, and they fit poorly because my butt/hips are too small for them.

I'm planning to have another c-section for my second pregnancy and am considering doing the waist trainer even though I'm still nervous about it messing up my scar or organs. Was it effective for anyone else?

I used the belly band because I liked how good it felt. The support was amazing post c-section. Mess up your organs? that makes no sense.

She's not talking about the binders. The waist trainer is NOT why your friend's belly was flat. They are potentially dangerous with ZERO proven benefits. Your first instinct was correct. Skip it.
