QO “forgot” to acknowledge 9/11

| Admin did not acknowledge 9/11 and the tragedy that happened claiming they forgot. At the final bell, tried to make an announcement as kids are leaving. Not sure what is going on anymore in MCPS. |

This is an extremely petty thing to be upset about, OP.
September 11th was a devastating moment in American history, but so was the OKC bombing, and Waco, and Jonestown. I do not expect the randomth anniversary of 9/11 or any other event to be marked. |

| Discussion of 9/11 is included in MCPS's US History curriculum. My then 9th-grader's class learned about it last June. That seems more beneficial to me than schools making a point of commemorating each anniversary. |

It's not that big of a deal. There may be some families around here who were impacted, but forgetting to announce is really not that big of a deal. -53 yr old. |
