Wasn't this supposed to be announced in early September?

Last year the first presentation was on Sept. 21st. I'm assuming it will follow a similar timeline this year.

They're trying to drag this out as long as possible because of the backlash when they announce the lottery is here to stay...

They're trying to drag this out as long as possible because of the backlash when they announce the lottery is here to stay...


There is not, and has never been, a lottery for the selective high school programs (RMIB, Blair SMCS, Blair CAP, Regional IB programs, Wheaton BioMed, Wheaton Engineering, Poolesville, etc.)

There is not, and has never been, a lottery for the selective high school programs (RMIB, Blair SMCS, Blair CAP, Regional IB programs, Wheaton BioMed, Wheaton Engineering, Poolesville, etc.)


That's what they say publicly, but at the CO they've been using a dart board and dice to make these selections for years.

A lottery would be fair. Are you accusing CO of being secretly fair? That's different from the usual accusations of racism.

OP is talking about school choice, not selective schools.
