Biden walks out of Medal of Honor ceremony?

Surprised there's no thread about this. Where was he going? Why would he just leave like that? It seems incredibly disrespectful not to even stick around for the benediction.

He's president of the united states. He could be doing any number of things. He gave the speech, put the medal on him and saluted. And you're mad he didn't stay for the prayer?

Your link says he tested positive for Covid last Monday. Maybe he wanted to minimize risk of exposure to others while still doing his duty.

I’m pretty sure that if a republican president behaved this way, folks on this board would have a different view.

He didn't test positive. Jill did.
And, one might think that.
And, the WH tried to dismiss his inexplicable wandering with that excuse.
But, the WH also said, less than 24 hours earlier that Biden would wear a mask to minimize risk of exposure by wearing a mask when indoors around people. Biden wore a mask into the cermony, promptly took it off, and never put it back on. He was within inches of an 81 YO veteran as he placed the medal of honor around his neck. And, he walked out through the crowd without a mask.

So, that excuse does not hold water.

This is yet another instance of Biden no knowing where to go or what to do.

Biden has an incident like this nearly every week.

This one, like most, was posted in the Biden Will Run Again thread. It would be a huge nuisance to have a thread for each one because the guy does things like this on a regular occasion.

Yeah we all remember "Hillary Clinton Death Watch". Miraculously all predictions of her imminent demise ceased after she lost the election.

I’m a tried-and-true dem. I’m a Black woman who will never vote for a republican.

Joe Biden needs to put his ego aside and step down. I am so annoyed that he’s running again.

Yes, he will have my vote if he runs. (Republicans are terrorists. Republicans are actively trying to stifle my voice and my vote.) I think Joe should mentor someone younger.

Yes, dems have a bench. I’m not getting into a debate about misogynistic, racist, homophonic, and trite reasons an 80-year-old white man is the only democrat able to run for president in 2024.

Since LBJ, a party has never replaced an incumbent in the white house. Why weaken the dialogue by opening up the party to a primary during the 2024 cycle? I agree, Joe is old. I also think if he is re-elected he will retire after a year or something, particularly if the Dems take the House and can elevate someone to VP.

Right, but only after breathing all over a very elderly Medal of Honor recipient. Somehow, that was ok to do first.

Precisely. Imagine the outrage! Oh wait, we don’t have to imagine. These people are such hypocrites.
