Smoothie blender for work

Anonymous
I am having some health issues and worked with a dietician to come up with a meal plan. I am supposed to have a smoothie for breakfast or snack, both of which I'll eat at work. I want to get one of those mini smoothie blenders to leave at the office. Any recommendations?

I read some reviews and it seems like the Nutribullet is The One To Get, but it is so much more expensive than the other ones I'm seeing. Anyone know if it's really worth it?

We have the ninja personal blender with 2 cups. It was $50 on Amazon a few years ago.

But do a search. When you search mini blender, there are A lot if no-brand name options for $20-$30 with great reviews. I bought a $20 one for my DD to take to college that has worked really well for her.

Get the Ninja.

What type of smoothies are you making? If you aren’t knocking down big pieces of frozen fruit or ice, Blendjet is the way to go.

If you are doing powder I would just get a standard Blender Bottle from TJX.

I bought an individual sized one on And for $20. Works great. If you are taking it to an office, avoid getting an expensive one. Someone will steal or break it.

OP here. Thanks for the suggestions!

I do want it to do frozen fruit / ice. Lots of the cheaper ones I found on Amazon said they can’t handle ice.

Not too worried about theft - I can leave it in my office.

We have the Ninja smoothie maker with the bowl. We LOVE it. Literally one touch of a button and it makes the best smoothies or smoothie bowls. It is a bit loud, that would be my only hesitation. Bowls take around 30 seconds depending on what you add, and smoothies take about a minute. My daughter has one of the 2 every morning!

Would a thermos be a problem? Blending at the office seems annoying.
