Does anyone know if Mrs Dollahite’s cotillion (that is hosted at Visitation for the local 8th grade private Catholic schools) is happening his year?
I tried calling the phone number from last year and there was no answer / message. I believe it usually starts next weekend. |
| It's no longer 1956 |
| OMG, please tell me this is not a real thing. |
|
Loads of kids still do Cotillion.
- not OP |
| My DD did it years ago and DS was invited last year but was unable to attend. It was a great way to meet other 8th grade kids at the Catholic schools who turned out to be future classmates in high school. And after the dance, there was a meet up at McDonalds. Fun times. |
| Weird |
| It is not weird. It is a social activity. It is a series of dances It is learning a few polite manners. It is learning to communication with peers. It is a gathering without cell phones. |
| We did Miles Simpson but I think Covid out that out of business but was very helpful on manners. Maybe Capital Cotillion still is operating? |
| Does anyone know if this still exists? Per my 8th grader, people did it last year and it fills up quickly. I can’t find anything online about it though. |
| Looking for details re the Visitation Cotillion, not Cap Cotillion. |
| We did the Wheaton School of Dance / Shannon Rush cotillion at Visitation for 8th grade private Catholic school kids this fall, but it ended in December. I don't think there's another one this winter. |
