We are actually in Howard county. Not sure of a similar board for north maryland to ask similar question.
I have a child with dyslexia and dysgraphia. He can’t stand sports or arts. He only wants to focus on academics which he loves despite his limitations. Current dedicated special need schools are great for the dyslexia but are overall academically behind where he wants to be. So history, science, and math are a bore. Any warm schools that might consider him. Was thinking maybe Sandy Springs? |

Have you considered an executive function coach? My son has dysgraphia and his coach has been a lifesaver.
Park, FSB, Boys Latin and St Paul's school all accept children with LD and make accommodations in the classroom.
Also children with dysgraphia are often twice gifted and simply have lower processing speeds but are of high intelligence. My son's learning plan specifies that he must be challenged or he will be bored and stop paying attention.
Have you looked at Odyssey or Jemicy? They are specifically for students with dyslexia.
Consider talking to Glenelg Country School
Depending on where you live in HoCo it’s worth checking out Summit School in esgewater.
