Vacuum sealed bag of panko breadcrumbs, 3 years past ‘best by’ date. They were in the back of the pantry so I forget they were there. Keep or discard? I know they’re safe, and my gut tells me vacuum sealed breadcrumbs would still be good quality.

After 3 years I'd toss them - they'll be stale. If they were six months old I'd say use them.

Go ahead and eat it. Don't put it back for another 3 years thou

Agree. But it isn’t anything that would make you sick if you can’t stand to waste. Worst case is just whatever you make them into won’t be as good.

Just try them and see if they're stale. If they're not, go for it

Smell and taste them. If they’re stale (which they probably will be), toss. If they’re good, then use quickly!

It's dried bread. Already stale. I'd open, and if passed the smell test, I'd use them
