I've waffled on this. I've received a bunch of recruiting e-mails from a well-known, large employer. In the signature block, there's a link that says, "click here for more info" except the link is broken due to a fairly obvious typo. This has to be going out to tons of people each day, and since they're known for cutting-edge tech, it makes them seem kind of silly. Would you point it out?
I don't want to seem like a know-it-all...because I very definitely don't know it all and make typos all the time, but if it was my e-mail, I'd want to know...like having someone tell me if there's a piece of pepper in my teeth instead of walking around all day unknowingly flashing my peppery smile. |

No, it's not offensive to say "I tried to click the link, but it was broken. I think there's a typo here."
BUT, if it's just a catch all no-reply e-mail distro, there may not be anyone monitoring the inbox to see your correction. |
