I need some new ideas for fall fashion, especially for the over 45 set. Can anyone recommend a good fashion blog to follow? I'd prefer it not to be Instagram because I don't have that and don't really want to have to get it just for that.

I'm enjoying So Susie - https://sosusiewright.com/ - you can get on her email list.
She dresses in a classic, stylish way and shows a lot of clothing at the price/quality point I'm aiming for at this point in my life (think Veronica Beard, Rag & Bone) but she also shops at JCrew and a few more moderately priced brands. Best of all is that she's a similar height to me (5'2") so I can see how clothes might work for me. She also posts a lot of complete outfit looks, which is helping me to step up my professional style since I am terrible at putting outfits together. I also like some of the content on the Mom Edit - they have several content providers of different sizes/shapes, which is great. It skews more casual than what I'm buying right now, though. The key for me was finding someone whose style, price point, and body type is close enough to mine that I can imitate the looks successfully. There are a lot of great bloggers who are tall and skinny or plenty who are shopping at Target/Old Navy, but that's not going to work for me! |
Thanks. Looking for a blogger who looks like me is probably a good idea. I guess I should have mentioned then that I'm 5'8", size 6/8 and busty. That's always fun since everything looks good with a smaller bust.... ![]() |
I like this one:

I really like:

I like Who What Wear. I'm not sure if I signed up for an over-50 newsletter, or they are just targeting me, but I get a newsletter about once a week and there is always an article or two about what to wear over 50. |
I like this one too, even though she's a little older |
Second this for you - roughly similar size measurements, and I agree that does matter. She is very casual though - it's almost all jeans and simple tops, and all very neutral. So also think about what style clothes you are looking for (professional/casual) and how much you need variety. |
