Bad haircut- another cut or grow out?

I asked for some long layers, and I got the "Rachel", with maybe the layers a little longer. And I have very fine hair so it looks just awful. I've been on ponytail city, but next month I have some work meetings out of town and it just doesn't look professional. If it weren't for the short hair around my face I would go for a bob. I think I'm just venting!

You could still do a bob. You could watch some YouTube videos to learn how to do a twist easily too.

What do you mean by a twist? Interested!

Like a french twist. Here is an example (her hair is long, lots of videos for different lengths of hair on there, just search if this one doesn't work for your length): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1c_gHonRtYI

It sounds like you don't know what long layers means. Long layers are layers that have a lot of length in between them. You probably should have asked for bra or shoulder length hair with short, blended layers and then shown him/her where you wanted those layers to start.

I would probably get another cut. You may still not like it when it grows out.

Oh man, obviously I do not! I always thought it meant that the layers were long. So short layers means that they are closer to the end of the hair? Thank you for the education!
