| Any experiences with "Testing Mom" for i-Ready and other tests? How much did you pay and was it worth it? |
| Waste of money. |
| Why would anyone prep for iReady? |
+1 You can get mist materials on that site online for free. Why pay? |
| IReady is a joke. Don’t prep for that! Geez. |
| It’s a diagnostic test. Why prep for it? |
| iReady is being used for AAP applications now so you can count on people prepping for it. |
| iReady is a much better test for use in AAP applications than the NNAT or CogAT. The name of the program is advanced academics. It’s ridiculous kids can get accepted who can’t even read at grade level or are behind at math. |
Since i-Ready is more of an academic skills test than an IQ test, I wonder if you could adequately prep for it by getting your hands on OLSAT and ITBS practice tests. |
| Waste of money. There are a ton of practice tests out there. Don't prep for I-ready, that's dumb. |
Haha Do you actually believe that? You've been fooled. Of course it's a GT program. |
I thought it would be dumb on my part to not expose my child to the type of questions asked when a good part of the Fairfax world is enriching their kids with out-of-school enrichment classes. |
They take it three times a year. There's plenty of exposure. |
Used by who? FCPS? If so, do kids need to be at least 1 grade level ahead or what are levels? |
Yes FCPS. And no one knows. The iReady scores were included in packets this year but no one knows what the Committee is looking for from the scores. |
