Not only is there the interesting side tidbit that Mort Zuckerman--media mogul and supporter--helped write an Obama Speech raising possible conflict of interest....

but the bigger issue is his disenchantment as a heavy-hitting supporter. You can't make this stuff up!:

This is so common, I don't see what your issue is.

WSJ pays Karl Rove to put out the party message to millions of people. They also hired Peggy Noonan. James Carville is a regular cable mouthpiece and so is Mary Matalin, and they are all involved in politics at the same time.

These people are on two payrolls at the same time. I hardly see how helping with a single speech, given the paper's open endorsement of Obama, is such a big deal.

And the fact that Zuckerman is willing to criticize the President shows that such an association does not prevent him from giving an honest assessment of Obama at a later date in time.

Y'all need some better conspiracy theories. Fox must be taking the summer off.

You don't have to go outside this forum for examples of disenchanted supporters. Jeff's comments about torture have been much more scathing than Zuckerman's complaints.
