Not only is there the interesting side tidbit that Mort Zuckerman--media mogul and supporter--helped write an Obama Speech raising possible conflict of interest....
(http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2010/07/12/mort_zuckerman_admits_he_wrote_one_of_obamas_speeches.html) but the bigger issue is his disenchantment as a heavy-hitting supporter. You can't make this stuff up!: http://politics.usnews.com/opinion/mzuckerman/articles/2010/07/02/mort-zuckerman-obama-is-barely-treading-water.html |
This is so common, I don't see what your issue is.
WSJ pays Karl Rove to put out the party message to millions of people. They also hired Peggy Noonan. James Carville is a regular cable mouthpiece and so is Mary Matalin, and they are all involved in politics at the same time. These people are on two payrolls at the same time. I hardly see how helping with a single speech, given the paper's open endorsement of Obama, is such a big deal. And the fact that Zuckerman is willing to criticize the President shows that such an association does not prevent him from giving an honest assessment of Obama at a later date in time. Y'all need some better conspiracy theories. Fox must be taking the summer off. |
You don't have to go outside this forum for examples of disenchanted supporters. Jeff's comments about torture have been much more scathing than Zuckerman's complaints. |
