Labor Day - what are you cooking?

Labor Day meal plans? What is everyone doing on Monday or at some point over the weekend?

We are doing basics but I am also looking for ONE more extra item to make it special.

We have burgers, toppings, watermelon, pasta salad with bacon, cut veggies, cookies, one more dessert that I can’t think of but I’ll add it. Don’t know if I could handle a key lime pie that day, but I make a good one.

I thought this thread would get going and just hand me some more ideas BUT it looks like I’m going to ask directly for it.

Also, by the way, what are you cooking over this weekend?

We're doing a big seafood boil with shrimp, crab, lobster tails, sausage, potatoes and corn. I can't wait!

What are the cut veggies? For us, burgers in the summer need something like corn on the cob, potato chips, corn salad/cowboy caviar, or even fries as one of the sides.

We have stuff for burgers, hot dogs, grilled zucchini and eggplant, and pasta salad. But it's really a question of whether it's actually too hot to fire up the grill!
