Anyone have a digital picture frame?

Anonymous
I’m thinking about getting a picture frame for our digital pictures. I’d like it to connect to my Google photos account. It’s hard to tell which one is better than the other. Anyone have experience with them?

I can't recommend brands, but my cousin has one and it is so fun!

Every time we do something, go somewhere, she will take pics and immediately "send them to the frame" -- so that night we're eating/drinking and watching pics of our day.

The Skylight frame is fantastic!

We got my parents and ILs the skylight frame. I email photos to their frames and they automatically pop-up. Everyone in the family loves it. I'm not sure if it will synch automatically (that's not a feature I would actually want given some of the junk and random pictures on my phone).

Contrarian view... got one for parents and they hate it. When we were staying at their place recently I see why...
1) if you display the frame landscape orientation then it only looks good to send landscape photos, portrait orientation looks really bad
2) 8x10 is too small to see any details, you realize you've come to expect a digital display to be much bigger than that (unless you're 12 inches away from your phone or ipad)
3) the constant cycling through of photos is actually really annoying. I guess you could set it to rotate every hour or something so you don't notice it.

We've gotten Aura frames for relevant extended family. Unsure about Google Photos, but it is very easy to use and the best quality and ease of use we've found.
