Mirena and no periods?????

My friend just told me she has had a Mirena IUD for about 5 years now and that she NEVER gets a period!

Wondering if others have had the same experience?

Thinking ahead to what type of birth control to use after baby #2 is born....

That's been my experience too. Got Mirena 12 weeks (wait the 12 weeks, not just 6) after my now-20-month-old was born. It's awesome.

Me too. I have a 2.5 year old, and had my mirena placed at my 12 wk pp apt. Haven't had a period in over 3 years!

Had it in for a little over a year and I have not had my period since febuary. I have had some spotting but nothing major. I like it but I'm always freaked out that I'm pregant.
