Nanny Search- March 2024

Hi all! We’re due with our first child in January and are looking to hire a nanny starting around March. Would love advice on nanny hunting in the NOVA area or referrals for anyone you know who may be transitioning ! A few more details below-

Ideally 4 days a week, full days in home (8-6 or so)- M-TH
1 baby girl
Looking for experienced nanny with past family referrals

2. There is a separate nanny forum for these types of posts
3 March is a rough time for nannies to start. The most turnover happens when the school year starts/ends

No one is giving up their unicorn nanny to a rando on the internet once their kids transition to no longer needing care. The good nannies get moved around in their friend groups.

Hi OP, most nannies look for positions about 4-6 weeks out from their target start date.

Your options are really care/sittercity, a friend referral, Facebook groups, or an agency.
