Hi all! We’re due with our first child in January and are looking to hire a nanny starting around March. Would love advice on nanny hunting in the NOVA area or referrals for anyone you know who may be transitioning ! A few more details below-
Ideally 4 days a week, full days in home (8-6 or so)- M-TH 1 baby girl Looking for experienced nanny with past family referrals MT. Vernon VA |
Kindly:
1. it is way too early to be searching for March 2. There is a separate nanny forum for these types of posts 3 March is a rough time for nannies to start. The most turnover happens when the school year starts/ends |
No one is giving up their unicorn nanny to a rando on the internet once their kids transition to no longer needing care. The good nannies get moved around in their friend groups. |
Hi OP, most nannies look for positions about 4-6 weeks out from their target start date.
Your options are really care/sittercity, a friend referral, Facebook groups, or an agency. Good luck! |
