Does anyone have experience with Factor meal delivery service? Is the food good? I am on the keto diet, and need to rely on a meal service right now due to my crushing schedule and lack of love for cooking. (Before anyone starts about how unhealthy keto is, just reduce calories, blah blah -- I can't do that, I'm actually on it for medical purposes.) |
It is good. It’s fully prepped and kind of looks like a very portion controlled tv dinner. The main courses are usually good and filling with nice sauces. The side veggies left me just wanting to roast my own veggies or make a side salad. The choices all get a little old after 6+ weeks but sounds like you just need it for the short term. |
Over $10 a meal for glorified frozen meals. |
I tried it for a couple months, top. Keto specifically. It didn’t take long for the meals to start grossing me out. It worked at first, though. I lost the weight. |
Thanks. That was my first experience with keto in general several years ago -- I stuck with it for maybe 5-6 months until eating in general started grossing me out. But I will be doing keto as an adjutant to my anticonvulsant medication, so for medical reasons I really need to try. |
^^ "adjuvant" |
+1 I felt like everything was soaked in oil. |
My mistake was freezing one after I didn’t have time to eat it. When I cooked it after freezing it it was revolting. I could never eat any of the meals again. |
OP. Oh gosh, I'll make sure not to freeze anything. Thanks. |
OP again. Yep, this exactly. Everything just seems so oily. I swear, I actually started to feel oily. Ugh. Well, I gotta do it and the fat intake is what works. |
I liked them but yes, they have a lot of fat. I got pretty tired of green beans but liked the entrees a lot. |
