Soda stream users--decanting?

Does anybody regularly decant their seltzer into a double walled tumbler or thermos type container? My kid loves seltzer and takes it to school in a small soda stream bottle. Ages ago when we got it the instructions said to only use the bottles the machine came with. Has anyone disregarded the instructions with no issues?

They meant only use the bottles for the carbonating. You can then pour into any drinking vessel you want.

This. Do you seriously never pour your carbonated water into a glass to drink it? So weird.

OP here. Nothing closed. Of course we put it into glasses. I'm talking about storage. ISn't there a pressure issue if you put it in a sealed thermos?

I've tried, but it always leaks out of my water bottle so I just stick to the soda stream bottles.
