| DD wants to wear her Wonder Woman costume for picture day. I think she will get made fun of-what to do? |
| How old? |
| 3rd grade |
| How old is she? Unless she's 4th grader or older, no one will make fun of her. |

Aside from possibly getting made fun of, it would probably be very disruptive. I wouldn’t expect the school to allow kids to wear costumes to school, other than for a school project/performance or maybe Halloween.
Take pictures at home of her in her costume, or find a cheap professional (Penney’s?), or get a family portrait with her as Wonder Woman. But don’t make the school deal with the hassle. |
| If the school is ok with it I would be ok with it. Check with her teacher. I think it’s cute. |
+1. The bold is a good idea. She can even do poses there with no risk of anyone making fun of her. For picture day at school, just regular clothes to avoid disruption. |
| I don’t think it’s appropriate. There are spirit days and Halloween and other times for costumes at school. That is disruptive and would cause a headache for the teachers. |
| I think it’s fine as long as there isn’t anything on her face. You see kids in really dressy clothes to their favorite screen printed shirt. Mine did the extremes in elementary school - super dressy, think princess dresses or a fake tux costume to a favorite worn camp t shirt they insisted on wearing. Anything goes for picture day. |
| Adding to above, many years ago with my oldest, I remember seeing quite a few Elsa costumes on picture day in elementary school. FYI I’m also a teacher. A Wonder Woman costume wouldn’t be a distraction as long as it was school appropriate. You should see what kids come to school wearing. |
| I think there is a no costume policy. |
|
I wasn’t even thinking of disruptive-good point! Normal clothes then.

Thanks for this but I don’t want to take a chance making it disruptive.

| Is she a kid who normally wears costumes to school? If this is just HER then yes I would allow it. But if she's just doing it for picture day, then I would probably say no. |
| I think a lot of schools don't allow costumes anymore. |
