COSA Approval?

We submitted a COSA for our younger child because her older sister is in an immersion program at a different school than our home school. We had heard these were usually approved on appeal, but ours was denied stating the school does not have enough capacity.

Just curious if others got approvals or if this is going to be the new norm?

That is pretty typical. The school has to have space to accept your child.

The school capacity is 40+ higher than enrollments with the average class size lower than the county average.

Yeah I would look at enrollment data for that school. Usually the capital improvement or cip tells you how much space they are utilizing

Just curious, which school? The CIP and At-a-Glance numbers aren’t always current.
