Friday evening traffic from DCA to Loudoun

Could anyone tell me how traffic would be around 6pm picking up at DCA and heading back to Loudoun county? I used to live in Alexandria so I’m familiar with the area, but just wondering if it’s better to pick up and have dinner for an hour or so until 7-7:30 and then head home? Or if I should head straight out of that area and eat somewhere in Fairfax.

It will be fine. People don’t go to work on Fridays and certainly not at 6pm.
