My 13 year old has pierced ears, and wants a second ear piercing. She has said that at some point she wants her belly button pierced.
Her ears are sensitive. She has to be careful with what she puts in her lobes; it has to be small/light and hypoallergenic/gold. I’m expecting that any new ear piercings would be the same, so am reluctant about letting her. I’m not paying for a belly button piercing. I told her she can do that on her own dime if she still wants, after she turns 16. |
Sorry, forgot to ask the question. How would you handle this? |
we did the titanium at Craig Pokes U, my daughter has super sensitive ears and those work great |
Our rule is one set of wholes in ears at age 13. Anything after that has to wait until dd is on her own health insurance. Our dd is 21 now and still talks about the tattoo she will get once she has a job with health insurance but has now decided she doesn't want the extra piercings she begged for at age 16. |
We just let our 13-year-old 8th grader get a second ear piercing. I don't think it's a big deal and was happy it wasn't her nose ![]() |
This is us, piercings are not a big deal to me. I’m pretty sure my daughter got second at 12, third at 13-14. She’s now 17 with a few more (moved past lobes now) and her nose. What I care about is getting them done well and safe so we’ve been going to a highly recommended tattoo place (Bethesda Tattoo). They can always come out. Also OP, this thread goes around a lot, you can search for recent threads. I know I’ve answered multiple times. |
