I have a 3yo and I'm looking for a good montesory school for him. Any Suggestions? |
Franklin in Rockville. |
I would recommend either Franklin Montessori in Rockville or one of the Manor Montessoris that has locations in Bethesda, Rockville and Potomac
I think Franklin owns another Montessori called Jefferson somewhere in Montgomery county but we never looked at it so no info. We also looked at Primary Montessori on Travilah but did not like the director. Be careful not to confuse Manor with Children's Manor Montessori a new school that does not seem like real Montessori. It seemed to us more like all daycare with a Montessori approach but with no formal teacher training, lots of marketing, and not so much Montessori. A red flag IMO and I didn't get a good feeling about it. |
We have loved White Flint Childrens House |
We hated white flint montesory. |
Woods Academy |
Jefferson, Franklin, and White Flint are all great Montessori schools. I've toured them all and sent a child to one of them. |
Rock Creek Montessori is a great school! It's right behind my house (north of Kensington off Connecticut Avenue) so it's very convenient, and the teachers and staff are wonderful. It's a smaller school so the kids get lots of attention and the parents can be as involved as they want www.rockcreekmontessori.com. |
We are very happy at Evergreen Montessori in Silver Spring.. |
Spring valley mont' academy on mass ave. great. |
Rock Creek Montessori and White Flint Children's House are both great. we toured both last year and went with White Flint becuase it is accredited. first couple of weeks have been great. |
Stay away from Primary Montessori. Franklin was great. |
