| I need to rent a 15 passenger van for a few days. Any suggestions on a good place to do so? I’m in Fairfax. |
| have you tried rental places? |
OP here- yes, have checked the usual places. I'm wondering if there's other options I hadn't thought of, such as U-Haul (unfortunately they only rent cargo vans.) |
| Why do you need such a big vehicle? It’s so consumptive. |
| Are you experienced in driving this type of vehicle |
They should have it but it will cost you more than typical rentals. |
| we've used enterprise in the past but not locally |
| Try peer to peer rentals like Turo. Maybe Outdoorsy (RVs) depending on what you are doing. |
| +1 enterprise |
What an odd concern, it's easier than a moving van. When I was a college freshman I'd drive students in them for the university. |
Um...because they are transporting more people than a minvan can hold? It's less consumptive than renting 2 vehicles. OP, I have rented 15 pass. vans in the past and have found that I needed to call rental places directly-they are not always listed on the websites for whatever reason. |
| Rent some cargo bike instead. Much better for the planet than a 15 passenger cargo van. |
Then they really need to have a frank discussion with themselves and their party and ask if it’s even ethical to try to move that many people around. Why? What’s the point? Why can’t everyone take public transit and meet at the destination? |
| We know families from our Catholic elementary school who own 15 passenger vans as their primary mode of transportation. It’s not outlandish. |

Just rented one through Enterprise last week. $300/day.
I found I had to Google "enterprise passenger van" to find what I needed. But be forewarned. It wasn't a typical car rental. It smelled like a warehouse, wasn't overly clean and new...like it had been transporting workers. Some febreeze helped and it was only for one day so it was fine....but not my typical rental experience. |
