New Parent Orientation? Feedback??

Anonymous
I am the parent of a 9th grader and an 11th grader. Is there likely to be covered stuff during New Parent Orientation tonight that one of us should attend? My older child started when it was all virtual. I was just wondering if they explain all the different apps? My older kid is totally independent. Younger one not so. I was just wondering if we should rearrange schedules for one of us to attend or if it doesn't really matter. I have to go to Meet the Coaches tomorrow night. Thanks for your thoughts.

It really depends on who you know. If you have a good group of other parents who can help you figure stuff out on the fly, skip it. If not, go.

I see it as relationship building. To lay some groundwork for the upcoming year. However, if your schedules are too difficult to rearrange, it is not horrible to miss.

Yes, the most valuable thing is relationship building with staff and teachers. The information you can get in different ways and numerous occasions.
