What is your favorite tile store? We are looking for our bathrooms and for our kitchen floor. We'd prefer to buy in-person. We'd like something along the lines of Marmoleum for our kitchen floor, so may need to check out carpet stores, also. Thank you so much! Look forward to hearing your recommendations.
Floor and Decor in Alexandria had a good selection
The Tile Shop in Rockville. Knowledgeable (referred us to someone to help on a bathroom project), and supportive (on a DIY fireplace project).
MSI in Dulles
Floor and Decor or Tile Shop
Tile shop is also in Tyson’s and several other places in the area. I loved it for inspiration and I bought some tile there but also online or elsewhere.
If you want white or neutrals try HD and Lowes because readily available and good brands like American Olean and Daltile
Mosaic Tile.
Most tile shops won’t carry marmoleum. Order samples (free) from Forbo and you can order from Amicus Green, which also has a showroom.
Tile Shop. Good selection. The store in Tenleytown is too dark for my liking, but it's convenient. The one in Rockville is brighter. They'll take back unopened boxes and even took back unopened sleeves (each wrapped in plastic) of an open box of pricey tile once.
The Tile Shop in Rockville. The designer who helped us there was named something like Franklin or Fernando? I can't believe I don't remember it. He was awesome.
Wheaton Tile. Richard is the best!
In addition to the recommendations you’ve received so far, I really like Best Tile in Rockville. I worked with Jean MacAdoo. She was terrific and has a great eye for color.
+1, they're very good. |
The one in Rockville? Who did you work with? I didn’t have a great experience there. |
