Formula Questions

I used HiPP PRE RTF for my first child in 2021 and ordered from anewyorkbaby. They seem to be out of business now. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reputable place to order HiPP RTF now, or is there a US RTF that anyone recommends? HiPP worked fine for us last time, but I'm certainly not wedded to it. Thanks!

I recommend you get what you can buy at a US store. I would not order online from a place that imports formula and is not a major retailer. There are some imports (like Aussie Bubs and Kendamil) available at Target and Whole Foods etc. now. Enfamil is also totally fine. All the US formula and approved imports will be fine.

+1 our pediatrician strongly discouraged us from using any non-approved formula because there are no safety controls or oversight over importation. Like PP said, there are some European-style formulas available in the US now. We use Aussie Bubs for our 4 month old.

Just the fact that the formula importers are constantly going out of business gives me pause. I could not trust some random internet business with no accountability or reputable supply chain management to ensure proper temperatures when shipping, preventing counterfeit, etc. The risk of counterfeit or spoiled formula seems SO much greater than the risk of slightly subpar ingredients in US formula. I wish Bobbie had existed when I had my baby; I would have gone with that.

+1 exactly this and the standard US formulas have a much longer track record / data.
