Can anyone shed some light on this? Over the past few months, I've spent many days in the hospital by my father's side, dealt with his medical issues and accompanied him to doctor's appointments. I've done a deep dive into Eldercare, reading Being Mortal and frequenting this board to learn all I can about what comes next.
Now it seems like all I want to do in my free time is watch Chicago Med. Anyone experience this? Any ideas why? |
You have PTSD and it’s a coping mechanism. You’re trying to stay sharp for the next time. Good luck and go easy on yourself. You sound like someone we all would want to have in our corner |
This sounds about right. I hadn't thought of it that way. Thanks for the encouraging words. Much appreciated! |
It’s tangentially related to what you’ve been thinking about but does not require you to do anything or be responsible for anything, which sounds relaxing.
I’ve heard that some people think Scrubs is the most medically realistic one. I loved the first seasons of ER. My go-to is Law & Order, personally. |
