I notice that after prolonged computer use, I feel anxious and sometimes really "flighty".
What do you do to combat these symptoms? |
| I don’t have this issue, but if I were you, I’d try the Pomodoro method and make sure you were out of your chair for all your breaks |
| Are you forgetting to eat or drink? |
| You might need to get up and move. I forget to do so, so I sometimes set a timer to go off every hour or so. |
| Probably drop in dopamine. |
| Ground yourself. Meditate. |
This is great advice. Whenever I was having a stressful day at work in the office, I'd go take a lap around my building (indoors) or go grab a Starbucks a block away. Now that I am mostly WFH, I don't get out enough. My goal is to start doing a lap or two around the neighborhood (10 minutes to a lap) when I start to feel the stress coming on. |

As fall approaches, better eather for more walk breaks.
Also, your desk area may be getting extra hot from computer. |
| My guess is not enough blood is getting to your brain when you sit for long periods, and anxiety happens. The movement others suggested should help. |
| Drink less coffee. |
| Do you have a cat or dog? I find getting up and sitting with my dog resets my brain a little. |
| This is going to sound insane. Is your waistband a little tight? |
