DMV Union and small Grocer stores?

Hey hey DCUM- along with local farm producers, when we do our in-store shopping, our family wants to support Union and small grocer stores in the DMV area.
Below is our current list inside DC that we know of- who are we missing from inside DC and the surrounding counties? I’ll happily start a Google doc for community share- Thanks for insights and contributions 🙏🏽 Big stores Union: Giant Safeway Q: any TJ’s in the DMV? Small grocers: Almaala Farms in Union Market Easter Market grocers Rodman’s Mom’s Yes Organic Streets Market Shemali’s Market (Middle Eastern) Wagshals ($$$$ but awesome quality in our experience) A Literi (Italian) The OG bodegas outside of Union Market |

| OP here- as a community gardener, it is a humbling experience and a MIRACLE that fresh produce ever makes it to any market. When you look at a seed pack and see it can take 70-100 days for a tomato, I bow down to small food producers and grocers for the care they give to our food. |
