Not loud, not too bright place for drinks - Fairfax/Chantilly -ish area?

Anonymous
I’m hoping to find a place where I can hear the other person talk easily, and it’s not really bright. Going out for drinks and appetizers with someone new.

Anyone have favorites?

Few good choices would be:

Bobby's
The Baxterdale
Fern + Fromage
Tim Tom
and maybe Lucien's, if you're looking for charcuterie with drinks.

Capital Grille is probably the best choice for the area you give. I'd consider popping into Reston for a lot more choices. Barcelona Reston would definitely fit your needs.
