I read on Wirecutter the lifespan for nonstick pans is 3-5 years... I have one that's about 3 years old and it's no longer nonstick which is pretty annoying. I could keep using it anyway in the name of not adding to landfills or is there some way to recycle it?
recycle metal
I threw mine in the trash. The recycling people refused to pick it up.

It cannot be recycled because of the non-stick coating. It is headed for the landfill.
MoCo recycling picked up mine.
Not all non stick is the same. Some can be recycled. The tephlon coated ones need to have the coating removed. Some companies have mail in recycling.
My Revereware nonstick pan had a (10 year? lifetime?) warranty and they replaced it with a stainless pan when the nonstick started chipping.
