Physician-Provider Recommendations

Looking for a primary care physician and/or provider to take over ADHD prescription in the lower manhattan area. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you.

Primary Care shouldn't be prescribing ADHD meds. And I imagine you'd have a darned hard time finding one to do it -- in NY where there are plenty of psychiatrists anyway.

It will be hard to find a PCP who prescribes amphetamines. New York State law is especially strict on controlled substances.

I feel like I've seen this post way too many times now -- and the OP never likes it when they are inevitably told that a primary care doc, especially in NY, is probably not going to prescribe those meds and that a psychiatrist is needed.

I'm not convinced someone really needs this meds, if you get my drift.
