Buying lunch in HS

DD is going into HS this month. Do I use my school bucks to add lunch money in case DD wants to buy lunch at HS? Or is there a separate account I should use?

I would plan to pack lunch the first week and let your DD get a sense of how lunch works at your HS. The school website should have the specifics about accounts.

Yes, it's still my school bucks. you can add $$ to your family's my school bucks account any time you want.

I'd put one meal's worth of money in the account in case she forgets her lunch, but in my experience most kids make other choices in high school.

No, the vast majority of kids in HS bring lunch, or at our HS they have open lunch and walk over to wherever and buy lunch (in our house, anything they buy is with their money earned over the summer or babysitting).
