Beachbody Sure thing program

Anonymous
Anyone trying it? I workout at home and have enjoyed a few other Beachbody programs but often prefer the Barre or yoga ones. This is the first weights one I have tried that I don’t hate. I wish there was more cardio- I’ve been swapping in an extra day of run/walk but then it doesn’t fit in a week because I can really only exercise 4-5 times a week max.

I actually don't consider Beachbody an MLM. I subscribed because of P90X, but ended up loving a ton of content. My biggest beef with most of the various programs is the shortness of the workouts - most hit around 25-30, which is too short for me (I prefer 40-50 minutes). I haven't tried Sure Thing yet, but will!
For cardio, I like some of the classics - Insanity, Autumn's stuff, and the lady from the kickboxing series (which incidentally is also amazing).

I hear you, honestly I didn’t use them for years for that reason. I only stream from the on demand service and I have never purchased any products so hopefully I’m not participating in MLM. I think some sort of coach tried to contact me at some point but I just didn’t participate in anything and it seems to be fine. The content is pretty good if you are an at home exerciser and really miss classes.

I think Autumn is super popular but she’s like my least favorite trainer. Not because of personality I just find her workouts boring.

I love the kickboxing lady, I think she also does PiYo which I like. My favorite up til now was the Barre blend which I really enjoyed but didn’t seem to do all that much for my fitness

Doesn't matter what you consider, it's a fact that Beachbody is an MLM and the main way they make money is preying on people, mostly the poor and women.

Yeah, they get mentioned on the mlm podcasts as being particularly bad.

Can you recommend a podcast that talks about this? I do believe that there was a time at least where people were beachbody coaches and participated in predatory practices on “lower level coaches “ but I have actually felt pretty comfortable streaming the videos directly through the corporation and not buying their shakes or whatever. I actually tell everyone if I ever mention the videos that I stream it directly and you don’t have to participate in the MLM aspects of the program. The only thing anyone seems interested is the videos and I appreciate you don’t need to go through a coach to get them.

It’s not even pushed at all - I guess there are ads for there shakes and things so maybe if you try to buy those there’s something that gets you in to MLM practices.

I have a family member who was really taken advantage of by a different MLM though so I do want to be careful and if I’m contributing to that I would want to know.

I’m in the middle of Sure Thing and really like it. It seems to be mostly low impact so it’s not as challenging as Meagan’s other program, MBF, which I loved. If you haven’t done that one I would check it out. It incorporates cardio in almost every workout.

I'm this poster - I tried Sure Thing this weekend, and liked it. I actually did the cardio plus one of the full-body weight segments, and thought it was a good workout (minus the cooldown of the first, and warmup of the second got me to about 50 minutes total). But then I realized she does the exact same cardio workout throughout the whole program, which is annoying (and pretty lazy on her part!) But I otherwise liked the weights. I would say this is a good workout program for an advanced beginner - not super challenging.

Thanks for responding. It’s fun to hear other people’s experiences. OP here and I’m definitely a beginner when it comes to weights. I tend to prefer cardio and body weight exercises so maybe that’s why I like this. It’s definitely not enough cardio but I will mix other stuff in.
