Vegas hotel for families

We will be stopping through Vegas during Xmas. I have been there (years ago) and know it isn’t the family friendliest, but what is the best hotel there right now for a family with teenagers? We will see a show or two.

Thanks to a DCUM rec I can highly recommended the Hilton Elara - it’s a vacation property but run 100% like a hotel. Has great condo style rooms up to 4 bedrooms. Conveniently located next to Planet Hollywood and connected via the Miracle Mile shops. I can answer any questions.

Vdara. All suites (I believe), no smoking, no casino, joined by indoor walk to Bellagio.

What are you looking for? We stayed at Venetian with teens and thought it was great. We walked through the casino a few times but smoke was not that bad. My bigger concern was nudity stuff and we didn’t run i to problems there.

The Venetian. The all-suites thing is great, it's in a great location, and the theme is fun.

Yeah but they are mostly "studio suites". And the property is showings its age. I much prefer Vdara.

How many stars would you give this?

Does it have a pool and nice amenities?

Pool isn’t anything special by Vegas standards, but it’s fine. Elara is probably 3.5 stars. It’s not fancy, but it’s nice and the rooms are huge suites. Big bedroom, full living room, full kitchen, plenty of room for a family- this is where Elara shines. It’s also centrally located and while it’s close to all the Strip action, the hotel is quiet- no gambling, no smoking…it’s a refuge from the rest of Vegas.

It’s not a suite. It’s a little extra sitting area in the room.

Whatever. It makes the room real giant and very luxurious.

Glad you liked it but it’s just a large, semi-outdated room. Better options on the strip exist - no need to pay the Venetian premium anymore.

Stayed in the Vdara a few weeks ago and it was good. Nice to have no casino, no smoking, and very well located to go to the shows etc we wanted
