TJ Parents - math

Anonymous
DC is a rising sophomore in TJ.

In case DC needed additional help/coaching for his upcoming math courses - any recommendations for outside help ( coaching classes or reputed math tutors in the DMV area)

For our older kid, who did not go to TJ, we had tried C2 - but did not find it to be very useful.

yeah definitely avoid C2. The individual tutors are ok - but the center directors are more interested in signing you up for a 'plan'

You don't need a special TJ tutor for math.

If you need a math tutor, maybe TJ isn't a good fit.

Yes, you should've done years of prep at Curie to prepare for this. Waiting until now is kind of late.

This is an actual serious answer.

Have your kid ask the older TJ kids who either live near them or do the same sports/activities as they do. That is 100% your best resources. TJ kids are noted for being marvelously helpful.

We used Krypton Tutors for our child during the pandemic. Virtual tutoring by TJ Grads in college. Could not have been more pleased with how well prepared they were for each session.
