We just got back from Norway literally 2 weeks ago and seeing the news of the devastation there these past 2
days is so sad. We could be right in the midst of it.
So much of Europe has been in floods or heatwave( definitely not forgetting what is happening in Maui)
All of this making me so sad and helpless.
Just venting out to see what others think.

Heavy rains and flooding, homes lost, partial dam burst.

I had to look it up, since I’d heard nothing about this either.

I'm French.

Because of drought, certain southern municipalities in France have a building moratorium because they don't have enough water for their residents. Filling pools and watering your garden is illegal in the dry season, and the dry season arrives earlier and earlier. Sometimes they extend that ban to small agricultural businesses, with devastating effect.

But also, we now have more episodes of low-grade tornadoes, giant hail that kill vineyards, flash floods that submerge homes, and snap frosts that kill vineyards. My MIL is looking for a home in the Paris exurbs, and the first thing we look for is whether it's in a flood zone.

Climate change is going to to impact tourism
and travel more and more into the future. But yes it’s sad to think of places already impacted.

Do you research. NS in the firing is the worst time to visit. Late spring, cold rain, even snow. Messy. April and May messy and yuck. Wait until June.
