How much does the DC Wave waitlist move?

Our child has kind of a high waitlist number. How much does the waitlist actually move?

Have they done the sign up lottery based before? I was under the impression that this is the first year for the lottery.

This is the first year they have used a lottery for all swimmers who try out. But there has been a waitlist for years.

Is that why there is no other try out scheduled? Is there waitlist also a waitlist for Developmental 2?

I wish they would wait until late August to do try outs so some of the fever of summer swim wears off. You'd get more kids dedicated to swimming. So many kids 10 and under dropped out of our location in the first few weeks last year.

Did they backfill from the waitlist when that happened?

They backfill until about October.
