Thoughts on this car? DC wants to buy one used. Any experience owning one? Wondering about reliability. Some reviews talk about transmission problems but that’s also the case on some other cars on the market.

Probably not at upper end of reliability. Remember what FIAT means:

That being said, they are somewhat sporty and unique. I’d get one with a manual transmission.

Fiat has a poor reputation for reliability, and the vehicle's small size and mass presents safety concerns. Any appeal is likely related to styling rather than performance or other substantive attributes most people value in a vehicle. There are better choices.
