| I feel like I have some water or something in my right ear. It’s a bit painful and sometimes hurts when it pops. I expect there might be wax buildup. Should I go to urgent care and have them look at it and ask that it be cleaned? Is there another place to go to get one’s ears cleaned out? |

You could see your PCP or an ENT.
Personally, I would first try something OTC like Sudafed (the red box, actual pseudoephedrine) to see if that dries things up. Your symptoms surely could be wax buildup, but I get similar symptoms every year during high allergy periods (as my only allergy symptom) and Sudafed is the cure. |
| If it’s water in your ear, try a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and rubbing alcohol for a few days. If that doesn’t help, see your PCP. You don’t need a specialist for ear irrigation. |

When I had a lot of wax buildup in my ear, they were able to get it out at the Minute Clinic at CVS. They shoot water inside your ear with a thing that is like a big water pistol, and it dislodges the wax.
Not sure that is what you have going on though--for me it didn't hurt or pop, I just had trouble hearing through that ear. |
| I went to urgent care thinking it was an ear infection. They dislodged wax with a solution of water and hydrogen peroxide. Good luck |
