| When you log into the Naviance, it shows how your DC compares to the others who have applied to a particular college. For the rightmost vertical purple dashed line on the GPA scale, is it the 75th percentile of the admitted students' GPA of senior year from your school? My second question is related to the number of applications shown. For many popular colleges the number of applicants exceeds the number of graduating students that year for our FCPS school. What's the reason for that? Thank you! |

They are using 2-3 yrs worth of applications on that graph.
The GPA's are the END OF Senior year GPA (the final HS GPA). That is likely a bit higher than what your rising senior's GPA would be at this time b/c the GPAs reported on the graph likely have a few AP-bump classes included from senior year that your kid has not yet received. |
