APS Communication from schools during summer

| We are new to the area. What type of communication do elementary schools send to families during the summer? Just wondering what to expect since we haven’t received any after we registered our kids. Thanks |

Nearly everything in APS depends on the school. In many ways they're allowed to do whatever they want and do. It's all principal discretion. |

| Hardly any at the elementary level. You’ll get your child’s teacher assignment the week before school starts with info about what day/time for open house. It’s typically the Wednesday or Thursday before school starts. Join the school Facebook page (usually one for the school and one for the PTA). |
