Does anyone know if children of employed teachers attend that public school automatically even if the teacher does not reside in that boundary?

In MC, the children can attend the parents school and cluster. They don't have to if they live out of that boundary.

The administrator (principal) has to approve it (which in most cases they probably do). The principal can veto this request. (I just had this conversation with a colleague who will be bringing her child to the school where we work (not the child's "home school")

Same with Fairfax County. We have a couple of students at my school who are children of teachers.
