Do you guys know of any? I see more for rising junior and senior ones.
Much appreciated for your help. |

okay, thank you.
My son will be a rising 10th grader next year and he is interested in interning! Appreciate this! |
| A lot of companies can’t have younger workers under 16/18 for insurance reasons or HR doesn’t want to deal with paperwork. |
| Federal agencies and labs nearby only take kids >=16 yo, as far as I know. UMD and local university labs can take voluntary interns at a younger age, but you usually need some connections to get to know the chances. Taking care of young interns has a lot of responsibilities associated that intimidates mentors. I only take HS interns that I personally know (because I often voluntary local competitions so can get more chance to connect to talented and self-motivated students). |
| Not an internship, but several times a year Shady Grove Adventist Hospital recruits teen volunteers to do grunt work in various departments or work in the gift shop. Some of the positions are administrative. My rising 10th grade dd is a volunteer. I’m sure other hospitals have similar programs. |
| What field? Why? For some reason besides college application resume padding? |
| What is he interested in? Otherwise it sounds like he is looking to check a box for college aps. |
