Rocks and insects?

Makes me wonder what Joe has been up to!

Maybe ticking off some employees in the food processing chain.

We eat rocks and insects all the time — they’re just really really tiny.
Trader Joe’s sources food, including prepared food, from all over the world. Sometimes standards slip. With the falafel I can kind of see it. Every time I buy dried beans, the label says to rinse and sort them carefully. I think it even mentions pebbles. Some items need to be rinsed and checked carefully for sand. Many fresh vegetables need to be checked for bugs. I don’t know if this gets more or less accurate with automation, but, yeah: rocks and insects. I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more. Or maybe it does, but Trader Joe’s is more apt to actually do recalls.
