Any writers hanging out on DCUM?

Just curious if any writers, especially fiction, are on here? I’ve always thought DCUM is a great window into a particular slice of life.

There are a couple of us. Although I haven’t written anything based on what I’ve read here, ha!

Yes. I have an MFA but haven't written much since, though.

I also have an MFA and write a lot, but I don't talk about it here.

I am a publisher author with an agent.

So…no, then?

Well, I am a writer, and I get paid pretty well to do it. But I haven't written a lot of fiction in a while.

Yup, author of a book and many articles and another book in progress. This is definitely my favorite place to procrastinate. Such a view into (sometimes frightening) humanity, but my curiosity/voyeurism keeps me coming back, as does the opportunity to write in the little box.

I've had a few novels published - the novel that my agent is trying to sell now has a message board loosely based on DCUM in it. A character frustrates her kid by wasting a LOT of time there.

My agent has been shopping this novel for a long time now and I lose more hope every day that it will ever get published, however. So very likely no one here will ever read about my alt-DCUM.

In short, being a writer sure can be frustrating!

I have written way more than one novel's worth of posts here. They, too, are underappreciated.

I’m the OP- if your book ever makes it out, let us know!
