No threads allowed to discuss LGBTQ Curriculum at MCPS?

Jeff, I saw you shut down a new thread about this subject, but then also shut down an older existing thread. Are we not allowed to discuss this subject any longer? There is going to be a new conference that might spur some discussion. I haven't seen any homophobic comments...just reasonable objections to the curriculum for PK-5 students. Is there a thread somewhere I don't know about? Thanks.

One of of those threads has spent the last few pages discussing Shakespeare before a poster concluded in the last post before I locked the thread that "LGBT group is the most intolerant group I have seen."

The other thread has been a debate about drag queens for several pages.

Frankly, there is really not much to discuss about this issue. One side wants to opt-out of inclusive books and the other doesn't want them to. Maybe they will hold a press conference and one side will again say that it wants to opt-out and the other side will respond that it doesn't want them to. I am not sure why that will need a thread. What happens is that these threads almost immediately turn into repetitive debates about the entire range of LGBTQ issues. That includes homophobic and transphobic comments that normally get reported to me and I remove.
