It happened on a Sunday in the middle of the summer and nothing to do with the kids going to school correct? |
Does that mean it can’t be posted her? Good for people to know about stuff going on ![]() |
This forum is about schools. |
It also talks about areas and last time I checked it is an area that kids and schools are in. If you’re not interested in reading someone’s post, you can choose not to click on it. |
I guess it's okay since it's Arlington. If this was about ACPS it'd get flagged and deleted immediately. We're not allowed to talk about the kids getting killed in the parking lot next to the high school, since it's not physically inside the high school. Different schools, different rules. |
This happened on the trail, not on school property. It has nothing to do with the school other than it happened in the vicinity. |
Please don't respond to posts if you want to continue bringing more attention to them. |
Isn't this the same article that was posted on AEM? |
YEP, it was posted there too. |
+1 likely posted by the “kenmore is scary” crowd. |
I'm sure if this was about a different part of Arlington near other school it would have been posted too. |
Nah, only if it's a south arlington school. |
Hey I haven't been on this forum in a little while so I just saw this. This is where I live. This is also close to Campbell Elementary. For the life of me I do not know why people let their kids roam around unsupervised for reasons like this. I grew up with really protective parents so I'm not used to seeing so many small kids walking alone or with other slightly older siblings. I definitely understand that many parents are working but it's scary to me. My son is only 5 so we would never be out walking alone. I think some people think just because we are not in DC city, they forget that this is still a large metropolitan area. I say all that to say, there is nothing wrong with being cautious and folks should not be ridiculed for it. |
This is horrible victim shaming Get back to us when your kid hits the tween and teen years. Of course kids go places without their parents. |
